Career | Rehman father was a film score composer and Rehman used to assist him on keyboard. His father died when Rehman was only 9, he tried to study but due to family responsibilities, Rehman left the school to become a full-time musician. He started his career with jingles. He composed Jingles for Allwyn and Titan watch range and became very popular. Rehman’s film career started in 1992 when he opened his own recording and mixing studio in the backyard of his house. The was the most advanced and modern studio. Later Rehman was approached by Producer and director Mani Ratnam who gave him a chance for his Tamil film Roja. The music was later released in Hindi and the music became a major hit, bringing Rehman in the limelight. Later Rehman collaborated with many producers in Tamil and Hindi films. |
