Full NameKishore Kumar (Real Name: Abhas Kumar Ganguly)
CareerAbhas Kumar Ganguly started his career as a chorus singer in Bombay Talkies where his elder brother Ashok Kumar used to work. He changed his name to Kishore Kumar. In 1946 he made his first screen debut with the movie Shikari, where he shared the screen with his brother Ashok Kumar. After that in 1948, the music director Khemchandra Prakash gave him a chance to sing the song “Marne Ki Duyaain Kyu Maangu” from the movie Ziddi. Earlier Kumar was offered many roles in the film but wanted to make a career in singing, but then later he picked up some movies which did not give a good start for him, but later he got success in the 50s era and he started singing for himself. From there his career took off and Kumar got huge success in singing as well as acting also.
